Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay's birthplace was Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MCKAY, who was raised in the Mormon First Family of the Church made use of her talent for writing and ability to research skills to compose the intriguing biographical psycho-historical study of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 under the title No Man knows My History, she used both. Its title came from an 1844 funeral speech made by Joseph Smith. In the speech, he declared: You weren't aware of me, and you didn't know my heart. No one knows about my past. There is no way for me to reveal it. Fawn published the words of 29-year old Fawn. Since that time, at least three writers have taken up the challenge. Numerous have accused him of being a liar, and others have glorified him. A couple have even tried their hand with a diagnosis made by a doctor. It's not the case that these documents lack it is rather that they're in complete contradiction. The process of collating the various documents, separating personal accounts from second-hand plagiarism and fitting Mormon and non-Mormon stories to create a mosaic that makes credible historiography.
