Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated journalist as well as a businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Following her move to England from Greece at 16 and obtaining an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it when she was 21. A conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she was able to be a voice of the Huffington Post. Her popularity helped her to convince several celebrities to contribute their opinion regarding current affairs, the political and culture. Arianna's celebrity status began in 2003, when she was a candidate for an independent in the California recall vote to replace the then governor Davis. Also, she was the head of the Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as The most influential female media personality, taking the 12th place on the listing and the following year the Guardian named her to the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the president of their media company that also includes additional AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalist and management consultants. While she was close to her father, her connection to her mom shaped the rest of her life. Even in her formative age, she displayed the qualities of a leader and is a household name. She moved to England at sixteen to further her studies and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. While in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the colleges debating societies, and eventually was its first female and foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a critic for a newspaper column and as a host on television. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
