Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the owner and editor of The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece then moved to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. She was the first person who was not from the UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. After graduation she made her mark as columnist in the conservative syndicated media and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later, she launched an online voice portal which offered critical observations regarding the state of affairs. It was possible for her to recruit several prominent contributors who posted their opinions regarding politics and culture. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003, when she ran as an independent in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Her parents were journalist and management consultant Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. They were very close to her father, but it was the relationship she had with her mother that shaped her. In her earliest years she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. When she moved to England, she was sixteen to further her studies and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she joined the debating group Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. In 1972 she graduated with an advanced degree in Economics. She was a journalist television host, and columnist upon her graduation. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own novels with his assistance.
