She was primarily in American film. Veronica Cartwright played Cathy Brenner in the iconic Alfred Hitchcock 1963 horror movie The Birds. She was only 13 at the time of her casting. Bonanza the first western in color depicted the story of the Cartwrights which were a fictional family living in Virginia City Nevada, an actual mining boomtown, during the 1890s. In the show Marie My Love He played Cartwrights' youngest son. Their mother was French Creole origin.
