Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. She was born in Passaic (New Jersey) on June 19th, 1978. Her father is Dominican while her mother was Puerto Rican. Her birthplace was in Queens. The year 2010 saw her move with her family to the Dominican Republic where they spent seven years. Zoe noticed a strong passion for dancing while being abroad. She began her training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy to learn ballet, along with a myriad of other styles of dance.
