Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor as well as a producer, director and playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain and her mother is the "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's earliest memories of attending rehearsals for play and observing her mother at her job.
