Maria Brink

 Maria Brink was born December 18, 1977. She is an American singer/songwriter. The group has released seven albums and received four nominations at the Alternative Press Music Awards. In addition, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Brink is one of the 11 women from heavy rock who are important to Yell! Magazine in 2012, and was acknowledged by Revolver Magazine as one of the "25 most beautiful women in Hard Rock & Metal".The first band Brink had ever been in was an Albany New York-based band known as Pulse, before moving to California. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25, to join a band. Before that she worked in the retail industry and also sang in cafes and bars. At an audition, she was introduced to Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth initially was hesitant to engage Brink as a performer because she was female. Howorth apologized to Brink and then hired her to be her singer just two weeks later. They came together as Dying Star together with Jeff Fabb drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel, guitarist as well as Josh Newell, bassist joined the group. The group was later renamed In This Moment.
